Upton Bishop Telephone Exchange

Enabled for ADSL Broadband

Upgrade Status
Status: Green
Good News, BT have finished enabling this exchange for Broadband ADSLMax products.
Depending upon your distance from the Upton Bishop exchange
your line could now support up to 8Mbs download speeds.

Broadband ADSL Max works in a different way to previously.
Up to 8Mb speeds can be achieved using this new 'rate-adaptive' technology whereby your data-transfer speeds will change according to conditions on the line. This means that you could expect to see your broadband speeds vary.

Previously you would have one set speed of up to 1 or 2Mb depending on the level of service you were buying from your Internet Service Provider.
If your service provider can supply this new technology, when you access the internet, you will be connected at the fastest possible speed that is available at that time (up to 8Mb).

NOTE:- Some Internet Service Providers are upgrading their customers to this service at no extra charge, so it would be reasonable to expect that most will follow.

The webmaster for this site has just been upgraded free of charge and is currently enjoying 7.6 Mb download and .448 Mb upload speeds.
