The Primary school local to the Parish is GORSLEY GOFFS, a Voluntary Controlled school for pupils aged 5-11 years.

The school was founded by Edward Goff in 1832 for the propagation of the Christian Gospel.

The school is located in a beautiful rural setting with spacious playing fields and specialised play areas.

Normally there are approximately 155 pupils on roll and these are organised into six classes from reception to year six.

Reception class children are normally admitted once a year in the September term at the start of the school year. Children are eligible for admission if they have had their fourth birthday in the school year before entry.

The school and the Hereford Council Education Authority must receive applications by an annually specified date in mid January for September admissions.

If the applications exceed twenty five then selection criteria are applied in the following order of priority:-

  1. Children living within the catchment area
  2. Children who would have siblings still at the school at the time of admission
  3. Children who claim a special reason for admission such as medical, physical or social. (Appropriate supporting evidence will be required )
